Mondelez Chairman and CEO Irene Rosenfeld to retire

Irene Rosenfeld announced her retirement from Mondelez International on August 2, 2017. Replacing Rosenfeld as Mondelez CEO effective November 2017 is Dirk Van de Put who is currently Chairman and CEO of McCain Foods. Van de Put has also held executive positions with Novartis, Groupe Danone, The Coca-Cola Company and Mars, Incorporated. On March 31, 2018, Van de Put will also become Chairman of the Mondelez Board of Directors. The implications of this are not clear for the future of the company and its workers.
