With more than 100 people killed and many more injured as the Iranian people continue their protests over the killing of Mahsa Amini for her refusal to comply with the country’s draconian dress code, the IUF, together with our sister global unions, the ITUC and the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD (TUAC) are calling for stronger international pressure against the government of Iran.

Women and girls, workers, trade unionists and human rights advocates are united in our call to free all political prisoners, to remedy their miserable record of human rights abuses, and to immediately cease the widespread violence against the people of Iran.”
