Around 300 Cadbury Mondelēz workers in Ringwood, Melbourne, Australia will take 24-hour strike action on Friday, October 8 calling again for secure jobs, better pay and conditions. This industrial action follows a breakdown in negotiations and Mondelēz’ continued refusal to give precarious workers – some of whom have been employed at Mondelēz Australia for 10 years – permanent jobs.
- Negotiations between Cadbury and the IUF-affiliated AMWU have broken down after workers voted overwhelmingly against the company’s collective bargaining agreement proposal. 81% said it wasn’t good enough

- IUF affiliates from the United States, Germany and Belgium have sent solidarity support messages to AMWU Mondelēz members fighting for a fair deal
