Indonesia: union wins job guarantees at Bali Hyatt

After months of uncertainty and escalating protest actions members of the IUF-affiliated FSPM finally secured an agreement with Bali Hyatt that guarantees jobs during and after the hotel’s closure for renovation.

With the support of FSPM members in Jakarta who protested outside the Grand Hyatt on World Tourism Day (read more here), the determined union members at Bali Hyatt who persevered and refused to take redundancy packages were able to win employment security guarantees that cover the two-year closure of the hotel for renovation and its re-opening.
