Argentina’s UTHGRA International Women’s Day message

On International Women’s Day the IUF-affiliated UTHGRA reiterates its commitment to continue its efforts to improve hotel housekeepers’ working conditions.

UTHGRA is promoting a series of activities at national level aimed at improving workplace health and safety through two strategic approaches: extension and dissemination of best practices and workshops, and meetings in Argentina’s provinces.

Through UTHGRA, Argentina joined the IUF hotel housekeepers’ initiative from the beginning as a strategy to defend housekeepers’ working conditions. We did so in the understanding that this requires commitment and action on a global scale, as the IUF has emphasized. We want to make every effort for and express our concern towards female workers, to whom we send our most respectful greetings on this day.
