On September 28, the IUF detailed the unfair arrest and detention of Algerian trade union leader Ramzi Dardar. Despite ILO interventions and protests by global union federations directed at the Algerian governement, Ramzi has still not been released and remains in jail in poor conditions.
The IUF, IndustriALL and PSI have just launched a petition together with LabourStart calling on the Algerian government to immediately and unconditionally release Ramzi Dardar
The petition further calls on the Algerian government to fully respect the trade union and democratic rights established through numerous international standards including ILO conventions
