Victimized trade unionists at Burger King Spain reinstated following public campaign and negotiations

Burger King Spain has cancelled the disciplinary dismissals of the three trade unionists dismissed solely for their union membership and activity earlier this year. The three workers – two of them CC.OO shop stewards and one a CC.OO member – are to be fully reinstated on November 26 following an agreement signed on November 19.

In response to the dismissals, the union mounted a highly visible public campaign, with international support from the IUF.

The union highlights the importance of the negotiation process which led to the reinstatement agreement.
