Cambodia: NagaWorld Union President Sithar Chhim released from prison

The IUF welcomes the news that President Sithar Chhim of IUF affiliate LRSU, the union for workers at NagaWorld in Cambodia, has been released from prison where she served an 18 month sentence.  The IUF, the ITUC and unions around the globe have campaigned for her release as well as the dropping of charges against all LRSU leaders.

IUF General Secretary Sue Longley stated, “Sister Sithar’s courage and strength have been an inspiration to the whole IUF, and we celebrate her release with all the members of LRSU, her family and friends.”
