IUF policy for the tourism sector

The IUF and its affiliates have established principles to provide guidance in daily work.
Updated in 2013, the IUF POLICY FOR THE TOURISM SECTOR is a set of guidelines for unions which has been enhanced over the years to take account of the many changes in the sector.
An important part of these policy guidelines is the model agreement FIGHT AGAINST CHILD EXPLOITATION IN TOURISM which provides specific languages for trade unions when negotiating with employers and employers’ associations on this specific issue.
Endorsed during 2014 HRCT Trade Group Board meeting, the Safe Host initiative aims to combat sexual exploitation of children in tourism.
